Dr. Steve Sandbothe has worked in education for more than 25 years. He came to the Hazelwood School District in 1987, serving as a teacher and coach at Hazelwood West High School and Hazelwood West Middle School. Throughout his tenure in HSD, he has served as an administrative intern at East High School, Central High School, West High School and at Kirby (now East) Middle School. He served as the associate principal at West High School and West Middle School for three years before being named the head principal at West Middle School in 2001.
As assistant superintendent for school accountability, Dr. Sandbothe supervises one third of the school campuses in the district.
He has been married to his wife, Lisa, for more than 20 years, and they have one daughter, Marissa.
