Dr. Grayling Tobias

Dr. Grayling Tobias is a life-long resident of St. Louis. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a Master of Arts Degree from Truman State University, and a Doctor of Education Leadership Degree from St. Louis University.

He has over 24 years of experience in education, 17 as an administrator. He has worked in large school districts, a small district, public and private schools. He sought each of the job changes to continue to make a difference in the lives of the students, staff, and community that he serves and to grow professionally as a school leader.

His mission in education is to assist principals so that they can provide opportunities for all students to acquire the knowledge and skills which they will need to become informed, self-sufficient and contributing members of a multicultural society in the 21st century.

His life has been enriched by educators and his professional life in education has been a good and rewarding one.  He would like to share with teachers, students, and parents the nurturing and rich educational experience that he has received.  He sincerely believes he can make a difference in the lives of young people, because education has made a profound difference in his life.

"Our greatest contribution is to be sure there is a teacher in every classroom who cares that every student, every day, learns, grows, and feels like a real human being."
-Donald O. Clifton
